Tasting Notes

A beautiful expression of the vineyard, this vintage leads with dark berries, cranberry, and cassis, followed by cedar, cocoa, graphite, dried sage and thyme. Silky tannins, fresh acidity and a mineral note give the wine structure without heaviness. The finish is long, with lingering cacao and savory oak spice.

From Vineyard to Bottle

The Woodhawk vineyard sits at approximately 1,000 feet in Alexander Valley. Warm days, cool nights and red loamy soils contribute concentration while preserving acidity and structure.
