Tasting Notes

This vintage leads with blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry and opens into blueberry, violet and dried sage. Cedar, tobacco, graphite, nutmeg, clove and cocoa add depth. On the finish, cassis meets espresso, baking spice and a hint of crushed stone. Polished tannins and fresh acidity keep the fruit in balance.

From Vineyard to Bottle

The Woodhawk vineyard sits at approximately 1,000 feet in Alexander Valley. Warm days, cool nights and red loamy soils contribute concentration while preserving acidity and structure.
